Free and Reduced Price Lunch

Free and reduced-price food services, including breakfast and lunch, are provided to eligible students. Applications must be made annually. A student’s eligibility for free and reduced-price food services shall be determined by the income eligibility guidelines and family-size income standards that are set annually by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and distributed by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Eligibility forms are mailed home over the summer, are available on the district website or may be picked up in the bookstore. For more information about free and reduced-price food services, including eligibility and the application process, please review board policy 4:130 (Free and Reduced-Price Food Services) or contact:

Please note that policy 4:130 also includes a non-discrimination assurance that the district will avoid publicly identifying students who receive free or reduced-price meals, and shall use methods for collecting meal payments that prevent the identification of children receiving assistance.
Hungry Hornet Meals

Hungry Hornet Meals are the meals provided to students who are eligible to receive a free and reduced price lunch. In order to receive the Hungry Hornet Meal, students must present their student ID at checkout in order to provide safety, privacy, and security. Students can also look for the hornet logo in the cafeteria to identify the meals that are available through the Hungry Hornet program.
