I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Valparaiso University.  After teaching three years, I was able to work part time at a public library, which also allowed me time at home with my children.  After they were all in school, I returned to school to earn my Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University (formerly Rosary College).  I have worked at Hinsdale South since the fall of 2000, and since that time, I returned to school once more to earn a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Educational Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I proudly serve the Hinsdale High School Teachers Association as a Region Council representative, and currently serve as the President of South's Teachers Association.  I am a member of the Illinois Education Association and the National Education Association.  The photo on this page is of me with Reg Weaver, former President of the Illinois Education Association and the National Education Association, at NEA's Representative Assembly in Washington, D.C.

I am also a member of the American Library Association and the American Association of School Librarians, as well as the Illinois School Library Media Association.
