The Library Media Center (LMC) promotes life-long learning through programming which encourages reading, inquiry, and the use of technology to meet learning goals. The LMC collaborates with classroom teachers, provides leadership, instruction, and expertise in the use of information and technology, as well as access to a variety of quality resources.
Through the Library Media Center, students have access to a wide variety of resources including; certified librarians, 26,000 books, research databases, e-books, audio books, and networked computers. In addition, Nook e-readers, scanners, music CDs, color printers, and video editing equipment are available.
The LMC is open from 7:15 am – 3:55 pm Monday through Thursday and from 7:15 am – 3:15 pm on Fridays. The LMC opens at 9:45 am on 10:00 start days. Passes will admit students to the LMC during the school day. Student IDs serve as library cards and are required to check out materials. Most materials can be checked out for three weeks and can be renewed if needed. Fines do accrue for overdue materials. Notices of overdue materials are periodically sent via email.
