Vision Statement

"Preparing Students for a Technologically Diverse Society"

The Technology Education Department of Hinsdale South High School feels that our programs compliment and enhance the other fine programs in place throughout the school.  Technology Education is a program involving the evolution, utilization, and significance of technology in our lives.  Technical education is to assist students in becoming technologically literate through knowledge, study, and use of tools, resources, and systems used in the management of technological environments.  Experiences with technological processes and materials and an awareness of the opportunities for them in the various technological areas are also important.  These experiences assist in encouraging and developing a positive work ethic, self-confidence, cooperation, and leadership skills.
