The mission of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department at Hinsdale South High School is to assist our students to develop their academic, linguistic, and functional skills  needed to become fully functioning, independent adults in today's society by providing a comprehensive curriculum adapted to their individual needs as well as appropriate support services. It is part of our mission to provide the students with the knowledge and skills required to become self-advocates and to access  the equally the educational and economic opportunities society offers.
