Training Tomorrow's Leaders

On the first day of school, Peer Leaders will be available in the hallways to point freshmen in the right direction to their classes. They’ll be wearing fluorescent colored shirts, so they will be hard to miss.

The hope is that their presence will ease the anxiety of incoming freshmen. The freshmen will participate in Hornet 101 during the month of September. They will spend two lunch periods per week with a group of 25 freshmen, 5 Peer Leaders, and an Adult staff member, discussing typical freshmen concerns.

This program promises to be informative, fun, and beneficial to all involved. Hornet 101 plans on “taking the sting out of freshman year.”
